Canyonlands National Park: Angel Arch By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson, 2015

Canyonlands National Park offers visitors variety in exploration. The park is so large and so diverse it is divided into four districts: the Needles, the Island in the Sky, the Maze, and the Colorado River and its tributaries. The Canyonlands exist today because the same people who presided over the nearby Arches National Monument observed the value in preserving the unique rock formations, deep canyons, and twisting waterways of the Canyonlands. Anderson Design Group hand-illustrated this vintage poster in a style reminiscent of the early-1900s, a style which would have been the apex of illustration around the same time this park was opened. In this poster, the monolithic “Angel Arch” greets a pair of hikers, showing her beauty and unmovable presence as queen of the park. To learn more, visit the Friends of Arches and Canyonlands Parks.
