Glacier National Park: Going To The Sun Road By Joel Anderson, 2012

- Notecards
Completed in 1932, the 53-mile long “Going to the Sun” road is the only paved road which dives deep into Glacier National Park. The road even traverses over the Continental Divide at Logan Pass. The Sun Road is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and it was designated as a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 1985. The road is a must-travel for visitors to Glacier, as it offers the easiest route in and out of the one-million acre National Park. Anderson Design Group handcrafted this vintage poster in the WPA-commissioned artwork style that was very popular in the 1930s. The National Parks poster features the Going-to-the-Sun Road and a 1930s "Jammer" bus carrying visitors along the winding lane. To learn more, click on over to the Glacier National Park Conservancy.
