Indiana Dunes National Park: Deer By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson, 2019
- Indiana Dunes National Park: Deer
Indiana Dunes National Park is the newest national park, receiving its official designation in February, 2019. Conservation groups from both Indiana and Illinois worked for decades to preserve these lands, finally winning a national park title that will keep the dunes protected for generations to come. The 15,000 acre park offers 15 miles of protected lakeshore, sunny prairies further inland, and swamps and forests teeming with wildlife. Anderson Design Group celebrated the 61st national park with a handcrafted illustration of a Whitetail doe and her yearling fawn, with sandy beaches and the Chicago cityscape in the background.
