The folks here at Anderson Design Group were so excited when New River Gorge became a National Park, we rushed to create art of it! Now the 63rd National Park, this region has been a nature preserve since 1977, but Congress recently upgraded the park to give it further protections. Located in West Virginia (and West Virginia’s first National Park) the gem of the park is the New River Gorge Bridge. Also built in 1977, the bridge is an incredible feat of engineering and a work of art! Inspired by the rugged grandeur of this truly gorgeous gorge, Anderson Design Group has produced this classic travel poster, styling it with influences from the early-20th century, and collaborating with digital painter Mary Withers Kirkland on this novel perspective of New River Gorge.
