Petrified Forest National Park: Antelope By Aaron Johnson, Joel Anderson, 2021
- Petrified Forest National Park: Antelope
Take a step into eons past with a trip to Petrified Forest National Park. This park is located in Arizona, near Holbrook. The 146,000 acre park is best known for its large deposits of petrified wood. The wood comes from fallen trees that lived in the Late Triassic Epoch, some 225 million years ago. That’s right, visitors to the park can walk among fallen trees that are hundreds of millions of years old. Anderson Design Group saluted the almost out-of-this-world park with a Golden Age of Illustration- styled travel poster of the petrified wood, two hikers, and one of the many groundhogs that call this park home.
