In Shenandoah National Park, one of the most spectacular views can be enjoyed from the peak of Hawksbill Mountain, a craggy outcropping of rock at 4,050 feet above sea level. Not only is the summit the highest point in the park, but it's the highest point in the surrounding counties too.
