The newest addition to the American National Parks roster is White Sands National Park. Until recently, White Sands was a National Monument, but a recent act of Congress further protected the natural region of White Sands by making it into a National Park. White Sands National Park preserves the incredible sand dunes of New Mexico, a unique region where desert sands not unlike the Sahara Desert have accumulated right here in the United States. The sand is pure white because it is made of gypsum, compiling and compounding over the years to create the largest gypsum dunefield in the world. Anderson Design Group’s artist collaborator Kenneth Crane rendered a vintage travel poster of the park, a unique rendition of the dunes and some of the wildlife that call the dunes home. This classic and original design is available as a poster, print, canvas, metal sign, banner, notecard, or postcard. And to learn more about the park or to schedule a trip there, visit the National Park Service website.
