Yellowstone National Park: Bison Herd By Aaron Johnson, Joel Anderson, 2018
- Yellowstone National Park: Bison Herd
Yellowstone National Park is home to the most important bison herd in the United States. These animals almost went extinct due to overhunting, but they were recovered and are now protected. These amazing creatures have lived on Yellowstone lands since prehistoric times, and this group is one of the only bison herds that have not been hybridized by breeding them with cattle. The Yellowstone herd is untouched, wild, much like their ancestors which roamed this land thousands of years ago. Anderson Design Group handcrafted this early-20th century national parks poster to depict these magnificent creatures as they graze upon the prairies of Yellowstone. The vintage travel art heralds the beauty of Yellowstone itself while also reminding us of the importance of protecting the Earth's many species.
