Frederick S. Dellenbaugh exhibited his soon-to-be famous paintings of Zion National Park in the Saint Louis World’s Fair in 1904. When those paintings were shown to the White House in 1909, they inspired President William Howard Taft to create Mukuntuweap National Monument. That eventually led to Congress’s designation of the region as a national park in 1919. We at Anderson Design Group think it's incredible that the creation of this national park began with an artist. It was art that persuaded the federal government to protect these lands! To commemorate that delicious piece of history and the 100th anniversary of the park, Anderson Design Group created our own illustration of Zion National Park, showing clearly the verdant river valley that runs through this normally arid region.
