Admiralty Island is in the Alexander Archipelago in Southeast Alaska. It is the seventh-largest island in the United States and the 132nd largest island in the world. Home to the highest density of brown bears in North America, wildlife activity abounds on this rugged island in the Inside Passage. Covering nearly a million acres of old growth rainforest, alpine tundra, and rugged coastline, Admiralty Island National Monument (located within the Tongass National Forest) has been home to the Tlingít people for centuries, and to brown bears even longer. There are 19 named mountains in the monument, the highest and most prominent of which is Eagle Peak (4,511 ft/1,384 m). The artists of Anderson Design Group created this classic original poster fashioned after vintage poster art and travel art, available in poster format or as a print, mini-canvas, notecard, postcard, canvas, or metal sign. This artwork would look great on any wall and would make a great souvenir! To learn more about this awe-inspiring place or to schedule a trip there, check out the monument’s dedicated website.
