Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, Arizona By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson, 2023
- Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, Arizona
Designated as a UNESCO biosphere and created to preserve the senita and organ pipe cactus (it’s the only place in the world these cacti grow out in the wild), Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is located along the border between southern Arizona and the Mexican state of Sonora. The park offers many of the amenities of National Parks, with some additional rules regarding how to walk about the park and enjoy the cacti without disturbing them. In the park, visitors can hike a backcountry trail, camp beneath a clear desert sky, marvel at magnificent cacti, or soak in the warmth and beauty of the Southwest, all while being totally out in nature and away from the hustle and bustle of urban city life. To celebrate the paths less traveled in national monuments (these places receive far fewer visitors than National Parks), Anderson Design Group poster artists hand-rendered an original illustration in the fashion of vintage poster art and travel art. This retro design and wilderness art is available as a poster, print, canvas, mini canvas, metal sign, notecard, or postcard.
