Texas State Pride By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson, 2019
- Texas State Pride
When we think of Texas, we think of a prideful, strong, resilient state. Part of the independent nature of the Lone Star State is the fact that Texas actually was an independent nation from 1836 to 1845. This brief span of independence had immediately followed the Texas Revolution in 1836. Then, in 1845, Texas agreed to join the United States of America. Texas’s independent nature and unshakable state pride is part of the reason why Texas is the only state allowed to fly its state flag at the same height as the national flag. Inspired by the history and the natural beauty of the Lone Star State, Anderson Design Group handcrafted vintage travel poster art of Texas Longhorn cattle, a breed of cattle raised with pride in the Star State. Hang this retro poster from your wall, or gift it to a friend. And to learn more about Texas, visit the website for Travel Texas.
