Inspiring child cartoons, computer games, coloring books, and so much more, the classic work “Around the World in Eighty Days” (French: Le Tour du monde en quatre-vingts jours) is an adventure novel by the French writer Jules Verne, first published in French in 1872. In the story, our main character Phileas Fogg of London and his newly employed French valet Passepartout attempt to circumnavigate the world in 80 days on a wager of £20,000 (equivalent to over $2 million in today's currency!) set by his friends at the Reform Club. To celebrate a classic story that still entertains readers to this day, the artists of Anderson Design Group rendered this iconic book cover, vintage poster design, and classic literature art as a part of the Literary Classics Collection, celebrating great books of all genres in 20th-century-inspired art, poster art, and original illustrations. This retro art is available as a poster, print, notecard, postcard, canvas, or metal sign.
