A fairy tale and classic story all in one, Thumbelina was written by the famous Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. Then, C. A. Reitzel published it on 16 December 1835 in Copenhagen, Denmark. This is a story of a tiny girl who sleeps in a walnut. When an ugly and evil toad steals her, she begins her adventure across many lands. She meets a number of good and bad creatures, some of whom take advantage of her sweet nature. Finally, she is rescued by a beautiful swallow who helps her find her destined happiness. To celebrate a classic, heartwarming story that still entertains readers to this day, the artists of Anderson Design Group rendered this iconic book cover, vintage poster design, and classic literature art as a part of the Literary Classics Collection, celebrating great books of all genres in 20th-century-inspired art, poster art, and original illustrations.
