Space exploration continues! Not too long ago (December, 2021) NASA launched the James Webb Space Telescope. The occasion was worth celebrating, because this orbiting infrared observatory will both complement and extend the discoveries of the Hubble Space Telescope. Featuring cutting edge technology, the Webb can produce longer wavelength coverage and greatly improved sensitivity. For example, the longer wavelengths enable Webb to look much closer to the beginning of time and to hunt for the unobserved formation of the first galaxies, as well as to look inside dust clouds where stars and planetary systems are forming today. To celebrate the launch, the award-winning artists of Anderson Design Group rendered a commemorative poster fashioned after the mid-20th century vintage poster art and Space Age art that celebrated America’s entry into the Atomic Age. This design will look great as an art print, notecard, postcard, metal sign, canvas, or mini canvas.
