Chicago: St. Patrick’s Day By Andy Gregg, Joel Anderson, 2010
- Chicago: St. Patrick’s Day
Easily one of the most-attended events in Chicago is the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. The city engages in a great deal of merrymaking with events like the South Side Irish Parade and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Grant Park. Every year, the city also dyes the Chicago River green (don’t worry, the dye is completely harmless and eco-friendly). The river was first dyed green in 1961, so our illustrators at Anderson Design felt it best to celebrate that time-honored tradition with a mid-century rendition of the river and the nearby Michigan Avenue Bridge. Order this vintage poster art as a pleasant reminder of a favorite St. Patrick’s Day celebration, or give it as a gift to your favorite Irish fellow or lass!
