The Windy City is known for its historical buildings, but few rival the history and aesthetic appeal of the Chicago Water Tower. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the tower was built in 1869 and is the second-oldest water tower still standing in the U.S. The tower was the only public building in the area to survive the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. Since then, the tower has become a symbol of Chicago’s resilience. Taking inspiration from that story, Anderson Design Group handcrafted this custom illustration of the tower, drawn and colored after the artistic styles of the early- 20th century. Show your love for Chicago history with a framed print or canvas of this iconic Chicago building, or gift it to your Chicagoan family member or friend. To learn more about the tower, check out the Chicago Visitor Center.
