Letchworth State Park is a 14,427-acre New York State Park located in Livingston County and Wyoming County in western New York State. The park is roughly 17 miles long, following the course of the Genesee River as it flows north through a deep gorge and over several large waterfalls. Known as the “Grand Canyon of the East,” this beautiful 14,350-acre scenic park features year-round recreation and scenic beauty including three large waterfalls between cliffs, some as high as 600 feet. There are 66 miles of hiking trails within the park but you can easily bike or drive to each scenic spot of interest as well. Letchworth offers trails for horseback riding and biking, as well as nature, history, and performing arts programs, plus guided walks, tours, whitewater rafting, kayaking, a pool for swimming, games area, and hot air ballooning!
