Welcome to Salt Lake City, Utah. The magnificent Salt Lake Temple—built by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Temple Square—was dedicated in 1893. It is the sixth temple completed by the church, requiring 40 years to complete, and the fourth temple built since the Mormon exodus from Nauvoo, Illinois, in 1846. In addition to this iimpressive centerpiece, Salt Lake City is known for its close proximity to incredible mountain ranges, the Great Salt Lake, and endless, rolling plains and prairies. It is home to the first Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant, the world’s largest genealogy library, the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Museum, and some of the world’s fastest growing motorcycle clubs. In short, this is a truly unique town with something for everyone! Inspired by the diversity and special nature of this quirky city, Anderson Design Group handcrafted a tribute illustration of the city skyline, a vintage travel poster which takes inspiration from art deco styles and the WPA-commissioned artwork of the early-1900s. This retro travel poster is available as a framed print, canvas banner, or metal sign. To learn more about the city, check out Visit Salt Lake.
