To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, Ally Cizowski and Joel Anderson worked together to hand-render a vintage poster styled after the poster art that was in-vogue around the same time that the 19th Amendment was ratified. After a decades’ long movement to garner voting rights for women, the 19th Amendment was finally ratified on August 18th, 1920. The amendment says, “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.” This was a monumental accomplishment not just for the women of the United States, but for worldwide efforts to create a more just, equitable, and democratic life for ALL human beings. To celebrate this milestone, Ally Cizowski and Joel Anderson designed their poster using the yellow color of the "Votes For Women" movement. Available as a vintage poster, retro print, canvas, banner, notecard, postcard, or metal sign, this artwork is meaningful and aesthetic all in one, the perfect home decor piece.
