What American Travel series of vintage artwork would be complete without a turn-of-the-century poster rendition of the Blue Ridge Parkway? Located in the Appalachian Highlands, this unquestionably scenic route was named “America’s Favorite Drive.” And not without good reason. This is a meandering two-lane of 469 miles, maintained and protected by the National Park Service. It is the nation’s longest linear park, connecting Shenandoah National Park and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Inspired by the soothing S curves and majestic views, our illustrators at ADG handcrafted this national parks poster of the parkway, depicting the reds and oranges of an autumn drive. To learn more about the parkway, check out the Conservation Trust for North Carolina.
