Named after Mobile’s founder, Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne Sieur de Bienville, Bienville Square is a beautiful park in downtown Mobile, Alabama. The park is one of the city’s oldest, having been first designated in 1824. The park is also famous because it takes up an entire city block and is bordered by the historic streets of Dauphin, Saint Joseph, Saint Francis, and North Conception. The focal point of the park is undoubtedly its large cast iron fountain adorned by an acanthus leaf motif. For almost 200 years, Mobile residents and visitors alike have come to the park to experience its peaceful quiet and the natural beauty of the giant, old-growth oak trees that adorn the park. Inspired by the park and the historic significance behind it, Anderson Design Group’s award-winning artists hand-rendered a vintage design to eternalize the park. An excellent centerpiece and a perfect reminder of a trip to Mobile, this artwork would look fantastic as a framed print, canvas banner, notecard, postcard, or metal sign.
