Philadelphia is called the “City of Brotherly Love” because Philadelphia is a Greek word for “brotherly love.” William Penn, the founder of the city, was a Quaker and, after experiencing religious persecution, he wanted to build a city and colony based off of love for one’s neighbors and respect for their wishes to worship their own religions freely. With respect for those values in mind, Anderson Design Group fashioned this illustration of the city skyline at night, a hand-illustrated vintage travel poster taking inspiration from art deco styles and from the Golden Age of Illustration. This illustration is available in a variety of sizes and as a framed print, canvas banner, framed postcard, or as a set of notecards or postcards.
