You’ve seen it depicted in Hollywood dozens of times, but what is a wormhole? A wormhole is a tunnel between two distant points in the universe that cuts the travel time from one point to the other. Sort of like an intergalactic expressway or bullet train. Instead of traveling for many millions of years from one galaxy to another, under the right conditions one could theoretically use a wormhole to cut the travel time down to hours or minutes. These are still theories, though, but we’ll let you know when someone puts them to the test!
