Belle Meade Theater By Darren Welch, Joel Anderson, 2005

Opening in 1940 with a seating capacity of over 1,100, the Belle Meade Theatre was a focal point of cinema in Nashville for half a decade. After many years left vacant, the theatre buildings were sold to a Chicago-based commercial real estate firm in 2016. It is uncertain what will become of the old theatre space, but locals hope for a full renovation and restoration of the theatre buildings! Seeking to eternalize the theatre in vintage travel poster art, Anderson Design Group rendered a retro Nashville poster of the theatre. The poster is handcrafted in the design styles of the mid-1900s, the same time period when the theatre first began serving the Nashville public. Available as a poster, print, canvas, metal sign, notecard, or postcard, this artwork makes the perfect conversation starter or centerpiece for any theatre enthusiast. And to learn more about the theatre’s history, check out Nashlinks.
