Mod Music City Print By Joel Anderson, 2014
- Mod Music City Print
One of our favorite art styles is mod art. A popular form of art and culture in the 1950s and 1960s, mod art took Great Britain, Europe, and the U.S. by storm, carrying a new, younger-generation subculture across western civilization. The artwork of this generation was characterized by free-flowing lines, bright colors, and hints of almost cartoonish styles. The artwork was the expression of the young men and women who started the Civil Rights Movement, and a sense of freedom is almost always present in this art style. Inspired by mod art and the impact it had on poster illustration, Anderson Design Group created two mod art travel posters for Nashville, one of the Parthenon and one of an acoustic guitar. Both posters are available as banners, notecards, metal signs, canvases, postcards, and framed prints.
