Australia: Great Ocean Road By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson, 2013
- Australia: Great Ocean Road
The Great Ocean Road is Australia’s most treasured coastal route. The road stretches from Geelong and runs 243 kilometers (151 miles) to Portland. The road is also the world’s largest war memorial, a memorial to returned soldiers who fought in World War I. In fact, it was Australian veterans from WWI who built the road itself, connecting previously isolated settlements along coastal Australia. Inspired by the history of this honorable road, Anderson Design Group handcrafted vintage travel poster art of the road, a classical salute to the majesty of the road and the men who worked hard to build it. This retro artwork is available as a framed print, canvas banner, framed postcard, metal sign, or as a set of notecards or postcards.
