Brazil: Rio De Janeiro By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson, 2012

“Christ the Redeemer” is a famous statue that rests on the summit of Mount Corcovado. The reinforced concrete and soapstone tile statue stands 98 feet tall with an arm span of 92 feet. The statue is truly famous, not only as a major Rio de Janeiro landmark but also as the largest art deco statue in the world. Inspired by what is truly an incredible work of art, our Anderson Design Group artists hand-drew, lettered, and tpainted our own unique illustration of the statue, a fitting testament and salute to the majestic beauty of art deco and the genius design and engineering efforts that went into the statue. Now you can remember a trip to Rio with vintage travel poster art that will also decorate your home in the process.
