Dominican Republic By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson, 2018
- Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic is an island nation of history and culture. This is the island where Christopher Columbus first set foot on American soil, in 1492. Because of that, this island became the location of the first European settlement in the New World. Santo Domingo, the capital city of the Dominican Republic, is the oldest European city in the Americas, first settled in 1496. Today, the Dominican Republic is a popular tourist destination, known for its beaches, its humpback whale population, and its unique ecosystem. Encouraged by an island of natural history and beauty, Anderson Design Group fashioned vintage travel poster art of the island, a stylish rendition of a vacationing couple wandering along a pristine, white sand beach.
