Despite all the glaciers and snow, there is quite a bit of green in Greenland! Greenland is an island country located between the Arctic and Atlantic oceans, east of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. Greenland takes 1st place for the world's largest island. It is also one of the three constituent countries that form the Kingdom of Denmark, along with Denmark and the Faroe Islands. The citizens of Greenland are all Danish nationals. Greenland is not only the world’s largest island, it is also one of the most sparsely populated places in the world. Its population is concentrated mainly on the southwest coast. Three-quarters of Greenland is covered by the only permanent ice sheet outside of Antarctica. About one-third of Greenland’s population lives in Nuuk, the capital and largest city. The second-largest city in terms of population is Sisimiut. To celebrate the beauty and wonder of a nation that looks so very different from our own, Anderson Design Group has rendered this classic World Travel poster design in the tradition of the Golden Age of Poster Art. This retro-styled rendering and vintage poster will look great as an art print, notecard, postcard, metal sign, canvas, or mini canvas.
