Zimbabwe, Africa: Victoria Falls By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson, 2024
- Zimbabwe, Africa: Victoria Falls
Zimbabwe is a country in southern Africa known for its dramatic landscape and diverse wildlife, much of it within parks, reserves and safari areas. On the Zambezi River, Victoria Falls make a thundering 108m drop into narrow Batoka Gorge, where there’s white-water rafting and bungee-jumping. Downstream are Matusadona and Mana Pools national parks, home to hippos, rhinos and birdlife. Though the wilderness of Zimbabwe is vast, one of the most famous places in the country is undoubtedly Victoria Falls. Twice the height of Niagara Falls and located on the border with Zambia, Victoria Falls (indigenously called Mosi-oa-Tunya, or "Smoke That Thunders”), plunges a misty 108 meters into narrow Batoka Gorge. Spanning the Zambezi River just below the falls is Victoria Falls Bridge, a spectacular viewpoint to take pictures of the falls and enjoy its majesty. Inspired by Victoria Falls, Anderson Design Group poster artists hand-rendered a vintage design of the falls, coloring and crafting the illustration in a way that captures the sheer majesty of the precipice and the foaming waters that rush over its edge. Available as a poster, print, banner, notecard, postcard, or metal sign, this artwork would look fantastic on any wall and among any home or office decor style.
