Horseshoe Bend resides on the Colorado River, a unique feature of nature 1,000 feet above the river’s surface. Horseshoe Bend was created over the course of hundreds of millions of years of erosion. Located within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Horseshoe Bend is a preserved National Monument.
